Overview: “ TO THE TOP ” is the vision that TCC has says Head Coach Shane Goodwin “ At TCC, we don’t see things through the lens of senior year being the end of a coach/player story. We are not transactional coaches. We are transitional coaches. At TCC, We are blessed with coaches who love the kids they coach. We build lifelong relationships with them. This isn’t something we talk about just to brand it like a cliche on a t-shirt. This is something that is proven year after year. Playing at TCC means you have coaches for life. We never want to compartmentalize our faith ” . TCC is one of the smallest teams in the entire San Diego section with only 160 high School Co-Ed students , this year they will look to compete in the Coastal League and make a run at a Division 5 Championship . At QB Noah Waldeck returns he is committed to play Baseball at Grand Canyon University his main target will be Senior WR Trey Blackford who is committed to Taylor Univery , he is very intelligent, fast and a precise route runner , anchoring the Line will be Kayden Willis (6’1 , 295) , 3 year starting center Nathan Elguera (6’1 250) along with the Explosive Nathan Bence (6’3 , 262) who will also play DL . Luis Martinez is a big target TE at 6’3 , 260 he can pound parallel squat 500 Pounds, look for him to be active on defense as well . Other players that will make an impact are 3 year starting RB/ LB John Paul Sagale , Junior Maverick Farr and Senior Safety Caleb Servi who was last years leading tackler . TCC has three young players in Carmelo Chapman , Isaiah Edwards and KJ Chatham who haven’t played Varsity yet but have a ton of potential to develop into great players for the Eagles . Coach Goodwin mentions the teams goal is “ for this team is that our teachers are grateful because our players are in their class, parents are proud their children hang out with our athletes, they compete daily to be better today than they were yesterday (AT EVERYTHING), that if they go down, they go down swinging, that they walk on the field expecting to win every game, leave the field never never satisfied with a loss. We want to hit like Tyson, take a hit like Mayweather, get on up like James Brown, and love like Christ. Our mission daily is To walk like Champions, Talk like champions, and play like champions. Our Vision is always “TO THE TOP” !
