With the Prep football season right around the corner we will break down which teams have the toughest schedules. Training Camp is Scheduled to Start December 14th with the first games scheduled to kickoff Friday January 8th .
1. Cathedral Catholic
Toughest Opponents : Centennial , Helix , De La Salle , Torrey Pines , St. Augustine , Lincoln
Cathedral open up with Southern section powerhouse Centennial they also travel to Northern Cal powerhouse De La Salle and play the Open Champs Helix as well as being in tough Western League . The Dons aren’t afraid of playing the toughest competition.
2. Helix Highlanders
Toughest Opponents : Centennial , Mission Viejo , Oceanside , Cathedral Catholic , St. Augustine
The Open Champs will again face a tough schedule this season , they open up the season in a renewed rivalry with D1 Champs Oceanside then have to face to Southern Section powers in Mission Viejo and Centennial and battle local powers Cathedral and St. Augustine .
3. St. Augustine
Toughest Opponents : Santa Margarita, Sierra Canyon , Mater Dei , Cathedral , Helix , Lincoln , Eastlake
The Saints aren’t backing down from anyone having to face two very good teams in the Southern Section along with Local Power Helix and a very talented Mater Dei team . The Saints are also in the tough Western League .
4. Oceanside Pirates
Toughest Opponents: Helix , Lincoln , El Camino , Mission Hills , Torrey Pines , Carlsbad , LCC
The D1 Champs open up with tough tasks as they face Helix week 1 in what should be the game of the week with the teams history then in week 2 they face Lincoln in a rematch of the D1 CIF Game , the Pirates also have to play in the always tough Avocado League .
5. Torrey Pines Falcons
Toughest Opponents: San Clemente, Cathedral , Oceanside , El Camino , LCC
The Falcons open up week 1 vs Orange County powerhouse San Clemente also on their schedule is Cathedral Catholic and a tough avocado league .
6. El Camino Wildcats
Toughest Opponents: Cajon , Oceanside, Eastlake , Torrey Pines , Mission Hills , LCC
The D2 Champions open up with a tough Cajon Team they also play Southbay power Eastlake along with a tough Avocado league.
7. Lincoln Hornets
Toughest Opponents: Oceanside, Cathedral , St Augustine , Mission Hills , Vista , Granite Hills
The Hornets have a big battle week 2 Vs Oceanside in a rematch of the D1 Championship, they also play many good teams in Mission Hills , Vista , Granite Hills and battle in the tough western league.
8. La Costa Canyon
Toughest Opponents: San Clemente, Lincoln , Oceanside , Mission Hills , Vista , Torrey Pines
The Mavericks face very tough opponents in San Clemente and Lincoln then face a tough Avocado league schedule .
9. Mission Hills
Toughest Opponents : Lincoln , Palos Verdes , Oceanside, Redlands , El Camino , LCC , Torrey Pines
The Grizzles open up with Lincoln they also hve on their schedule a tough Palos Verdes team and play in the Avocado League
10. Carlsbad Lancers
Toughest Opponents: Lawndale, Milikan , Great Oak , Oceanside, El Camino
The Lancer play good teams from out of section Lawndale, Milikan , Great Oak and battle in the Tough Avocado League.
