2019 Record : 8-6 , CIF Division 5 Champions
Top Players : Gervy Alota , Chris White , Chris Williams , Sam Carrillo , Cito Miller , Ben Effress , Robbie Shank , Conor Hickey , Seamus Gallagher , James Walker
Overview : The Lancers coming of a great Season a year ago that saw them win the Division 5 Championship will look to be in contention again this time in Division 4 . The squad is very experienced with only 6 seniors graduating , they have a bunch of guys who made an impact a year ago . Coach Morrison is excited about his offensive Line he says “ 4 of our 5 starters on the Offensive Line played significant snaps last year, (Robbie Shank, Conor Hickey, Seamus Gallagher, and James Walker). All four were 2nd team all League picks last year. They have all had great off-seasons and are poised to have excellent years this year as seniors. This will be the most experienced offensive line we’ve had in a long time ” at QB Gervy Alota returns and has made many improvements in the offseason he will look to get the ball to playmakers Chris White and Chris Williams both started as freshman and were phenomenal , they are elite athletes that will make plays on offense and also be lockdown players on defense . Another player Coach Morrison is excited about is Sam Carrillo, coach says “Sam Carrillo is another senior who is really off the radar because he missed the first 8 games of last season with an injury, but he made big plays for us on both sides of the ball down the stretch of the season. He’s a 6’4″ 175 pound receiver who has great hands and runs excellent routes. He will be a big time target for us and will also play a ton of defensive snaps ”. Ben Effress. played a ton of snaps for the Lancers on both sides of the ball last year and this year will start at fullback and Mike Linebacker. Throughout the years Francis Parker has had great Special Teams play and this year is no different , Coach Morrison believes they have the best kicker in the county in Cito Miller who has won several kicking tournaments and will also play safety and Tight End . Coach Morrison states that “ as far as team goals its really hard to say because of the uncertainty of how the season will look. Going into the fall, I would have said that our goals were to win to compete for the Coastal League and D4 championships. Now, our only goal really is to get a chance to take the field. I’m so proud of how committed our kids have been over the summer, fall, and now winter, despite not knowing if or when the season would start. They have invested so much both this year and over their last 4 years (we have 13 seniors), that it would be heartbreaking for them to lose out on their last chance to play together ”.
